Course Overview
This intensive program provides clinicians with a complete understanding of implant prosthodontics by combining surgical fundamentals with prosthetic execution. Participants will develop confidence in diagnosis, treatment planning, implant placement, and restoration of both partially and completely edentulous patients with single implant restorations, implant supported bridges, complete dentures supported on locator abutments, bar over dentures and other specialised attachments for removable implant prostheses.
Diagnosis & Treatment Planning
Assess patients for implant therapy considering anatomical, functional, and aesthetic factors. Evaluate hard and soft tissues to guide clinical decision-making. Analyze restorative space requirements for implant-supported prostheses. Develop comprehensive treatment plans integrating surgical and prosthetic phases. Identify indications and contraindications for implant therapy. Choose between fixed and removable implant solutions based on clinical needs. Determine ideal implant number, positioning, and distribution.
Surgical Principles & Implant Placement
Perform detailed pre-surgical assessments and case evaluations. Understand implant placement protocols and site preparation techniques. Apply anatomical knowledge for safe and predictable surgical outcomes. Recognize and manage peri-implant conditions.
Prosthetic Concepts: Fixed & Removable
Explore treatment options for partially and completely edentulous patients. Plan and restore implant-supported removable prostheses. Design implant-retained overdentures. Convert conventional dentures into implant-supported prostheses. Apply principles of AP spread and cantilever control. Select appropriate materials and prosthetic components.
Clinical Procedures & Workflows
Perform implant-level and abutment-level impressions. Apply open-tray and closed-tray impression techniques effectively. Understand conventional and digital workflows with intraoral scanners Plan and execute accurate impression strategies. Utilize verification jigs to ensure prosthetic precision. Follow systematic protocols for prosthesis evaluation and insertion.
Complications & Maintenance
Identify common surgical and prosthetic complications. Implement strategies to minimize and prevent complications. Manage challenges during prosthesis delivery. Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation.
Provisionalization & Clinical Application
